Answers to common questions about hosting your dream celebrations at Hadsham Farm Weddings.

How many guests can Hadsham Farm Tipi Weddings accommodate?

For a seated meal, we can comfortably accommodate between 80 and 130 guests. Space starts getting tight after this and we have to assume the weather might do it’s worst and everyone needs to be inside all day. An additional 50 evening guests can be accommodated assuming some of the daytime tables are removed, bringing the grand total to 180 in the evening. 

Can we bring our own catering and drinks?

Yes, you have a totally free choice of catering and bar suppliers. Speciality catering? Food trucks? Cocktail bar? Beer Festival? All options are available to allow you to create a unique and personalised experience – we have a list of recommended local suppliers if you need any guidance. And if you want to bring your own drinks, then we won’t charge you any corkage.

Is there on-site accommodations for guests?

Yes, we have our luxurious Shepherd’s Hut Wedding Suite for the happy couple – included in the venue hire price. For guests, we have 12 comfortable glamping bell tents right on the lakeside. These are available for an additional charge and will be available to book via the Accommodation page. In addition, we have a small amount of flat land at the end of the lake where guests can camp if they wish. We do impose a 30-person limit on the number of guests staying over on night 1 of your stay with us but that should be plenty to allow for you host a rehearsal dinner either on site or at one of our wonderful local hostelrys.

 

 

 

 

Can we have both the ceremony and reception at Hadsham Farm?

Absolutely! However, as we are not licenced, any ceremony you conduct would only be ‘for show’. All of the on-site ceremonies you may have seen in photographs on this website or on social media are ‘personal’ ceremonies led either by a hired-in professional celebrant or in a number of cases, by a special family member or best friend. The legal bits of the marriage will need to be conducted in a registry office or other licenced venue which many of our couples do a few days or weeks before they come to Hadsham.

Is there a backup plan for inclement weather?

Of course! We’ve been hosting weddings in our permanent Tipi since 2018. It is fully heated and completely waterproof even if the heavens really open up. The panoramic frontage is clear glazed and allows you to still see the beautiful view whilst keeping out the wind and rain. If you are planning a ceremony on site, then the dance floor works really well as a back-up space to set up indoors – have a close look at our 3D Tour and click on the various information pins on the dance floor to see what an indoor ceremony can look like.

Are there restrictions on music and entertainment options?

Yes – this is part of the ‘minimal restrictions’ we mention on the Home page of the website. Essentially, you can have background level music on from the moment you arrive with us until the moment you leave 2 days later. The main party is to be on night 2 of your stay (i.e. the Saturday night or Wednesday night) and the amplified party music needs to be turned off at MIDNIGHT. There is no ‘party music’ on night 1 – just chilled out background music. And finally, all music (DJ, Band, iPad) MUST be played through our in house PA System. Whilst we might appear to be located in the middle of nowhere, we do have neighbours and we must be respectful to them!

Can we decorate the tipis to match our wedding theme?

Of course! You are welcome and in fact, positively encouraged, to decorate the tipis to match your wedding theme and style – be that Rustic, Traditional, Modern, Boho, Vintage, Festival or something totally different!

Day one with us is envisaged as a relaxed affair where both sides of your new family work (hopefully harmoniously!) together to personalise the already beautiful venue.

This day if often reflected on by our customers as one of their favourite moments from their time with us as they get to spend quality time with their family and closest friends working together to create the big occasion.

Are pets allowed at Hadsham Farm Tipi Weddings?

We understand that pets are often part of the family – as such, we do allow pets of the wedding couple only. However, they cannot stay over in any of our accommodation. Please inform us if you are planning to bring your pet. Pets of members of the family and your guests are NOT permitted.

What is the booking process, and when should we reserve our date?

To secure your desired date, we recommend viewing and booking as early as possible. We will guide you through the booking process, which involves reading and signing our contract and paying a 25% deposit. Your 75% balance is not then due until 6 months before the big day.

Are there nearby attractions for guests to enjoy during their stay?

Yes, our location in the Cotswolds offers a wide range of attractions, including beautiful countryside walks, charming villages, and historic sites for your guests to explore.
