We totally get it; a dry day means you can make the most of your venue’s outdoor space and makes it easier for your photographer to get a mix of gorgeous photos. However, we promise a rainy tipi wedding is far from a washout. Our Hadsham Farm Weddings’ tipi is built to handle all kinds of weather, including downpours, and we promise you and your guests will be warm and dry inside. This seems to be number one on the worry chart for our prospective couples. They think that pulling a tipi wedding together is going to be a lot of work, but the truth is it’s absolutely not! Charlie, the owner, is a tipi wedding expert and has seen it all at Hadsham Farm – from the epic multi-day celebrations to more intimate weddings. His advice? Get the food, drink and music sorted and you’re set. It really is that simple. Most tipi venues – us included – will have great relationships with some of the best local suppliers, so finding the right caterers or bar is nice and easy.
Myth: “Tipi venues are only for festival style weddings.”
The Reality…
The beauty of a tipi wedding venue is that you have the space, and the blank canvas, to create your dream wedding day. While a tipi wedding is the perfect choice for a festival wedding, particularly if it has an on-site campsite, like Hadsham Farm, a tipi venue is such a versatile space. It’s your choice how to style or theme your day and, in our opinion, a tipi venue is far more flexible to make your own than a hotel or country house. Just saying.
Myth: “I’ll have to sort my own power and toilets.”
The Reality…
Ok, so this is a tricky one. Some tipi venues will require you to sort out your own toilets and power for your wedding, but not all. At our Cotswold tipi wedding venue, we provide these as part of your wedding package, so that’s two less things to deal with. But, if you do need to arrange your own essentials, just know that your venue will almost certainly have been through the process before and will have existing relationships with toilet and generator suppliers who know the venue and can handle the logistics, no problem.
Myth: “Tipi weddings are way more expensive than other venues.”

Nope! A tipi wedding can really be tailored to suit all kinds of budgets. Once you’ve paid for the initial venue hire, it’s really just catering that needs to be arranged at an additional cost. There’s plenty of ways to keep costs down, including bringing your own drinks, creating your own playlist or getting mates to DJ for the party, and DIY-ing the décor. The freedom and flexibility of hiring a tipi venue for your wedding is a great way to really have the day you want, whatever your budget.
