Let’s rewind to the sunny August bank holiday, when Laura and Jimmy threw the most epic festival style tipi wedding at Hadsham Farm. The big day, AKA Wedfest, was a total riot of colour and fun, packed with the coolest personal touches (Mr Whippy, anyone?). It was a joy to host this amazing couple and we’re so excited to share photos of their wedding, taken by the fabulous Nellie Photography.

The Dream Tipi Wedding Venue in Oxfordshire
Laura and Jimmy knew straight away that Hadsham Farm Weddings was the perfect venue to bring their Wedfest vision to life. Tucked away in an idyllic northern corner of the Cotswolds, it ticked all the boxes with acres of picture-perfect Oxfordshire countryside, loads of space for their guests, the freedom to design the day they wanted, as well as the flexibility to stretch the celebrations over the whole bank holiday. One of the brilliant things about having your wedding at Hadsham Farm is that you’ve got everything in one place. Our beautiful couple made the most of everything the venue had to offer, exchanging vows at the dreamy lakeside ceremony space and enjoying a cute Mr and Mrs moment rowing across the lake, before kicking off the party in our luxurious tipi.

One Fashionable Bride
Can we take a moment for Laura’s epic bridal style? She rocked the coolest boho-luxe vibes in her floor-length, sweetheart neckline, applique lace wedding dress. Special mention has to go to her fabulous shoe choices, starting off in iconic heart-embellished Vivienne Westwood heels. Every excellent festival wedding calls for an outfit change, and we love how Laura swapped her heels for bespoke bridal Crocs and a cute white mini dress for dancing the night away.

Our couple let their bridesmaids’ personal styles shine in mismatched satin dresses in a colour-pop mix of hot pinks and oranges. The overall look felt modern, super stylish and perfect for a sunny August bank holiday.

Sustainable Wedding Flowers
Sticking with their colourful wedding theme, Laura and Jimmy’s wedding flowers brought their contemporary, bohemian big day look together a treat. As well as hosting unique tipi weddings, we also grow seasonal British flowers on our Cotswold farm, and our bride and groom worked with us to create gorgeous bouquets and floral displays for the ceremony and reception. The beauty of using Hadsham Farm Flowers meant our couple weren’t clocking up air miles for their wedding flowers. Everything was picked fresh from our flower field before making the short journey, on foot, to the venue. Take that, carbon footprint! Laura opted for an in-season bouquet of roses, dahlias and anemones, in vibrant shades of pink and orange, all tied up with coordinating ribbon. We’re obsessed.

Rainbow Bright Wedding Reception Styling
A tipi venue is the ultimate blank canvas for you to personalise as you fancy. Our bride and groom gave our spacious tipi a vibrant glow-up, filling the space with bold flashes of pink and orange. Paper lanterns and pompoms in sizzling shades were hung from the high canvas ceiling, while wooden tables were lined with diaphanous orange fabric runners. The tables were dressed with colourful napkins and fans (such chic favours), along with bright tapered candles. Simple posies in coloured glass vases and succulents in mirror ball planters were displayed on log slices for that rustic-meets-disco feel.

Cool Touches For a Unique Wedding
A festival wedding is a fun way to express who you are, and Laura and Jimmy absolutely packed their day with the coolest, unique details. They set the scene for a relaxed and fun-filled celebration with their Wedfest invites, carrying on the festival theme with huge WEDFEST letters in the guest camping area and, of course, tall flags for that authentic Glastonbury feel.

Their wedding signage was a thing of beauty, featuring awesome illustrations of both our bride and groom. These drawings also made an appearance on the personalised cups the couple used during the drinks reception – such a clever touch!

With the sun shining, Laura and Jimmy treated their guests to classic Mr Whippy ice creams, complete with flakes and raspberry sauce. We love that the bride and groom hopped into the ice cream van to serve their friends and family – how amazing are these photos?

The personal touches kept on coming, from the almost-too-pretty-to-eat three-tiered wedding cake to the light-up hearts on the dancefloor. We’re still catching our breath after such a fun wedding. Can we do it all again please, Laura and Jimmy?
