One of our favourite things about running a tipi wedding venue is seeing how each couple puts their own spin on things. Izzy and Charlie’s wedding will go down in Hadsham Farm history as one of the coolest and most creative days we’ve seen. From a pop-up bath gin bar to a wedding cake piñata, it was a day we’ll never forget! Thank you to Amy Faith Photography for sharing these incredible photos from a truly epic day.

All the wedding details
Izzy and Charlie went with a hot pink big day colour scheme, with accents of blush pink, peachy orange and bright blue. It was a proper riot of colour and really set the tone for such a fun wedding day.
Our tipi was transformed with hanging ribbons, disco balls and banners, and Izzy and Charlie definitely made the most of the space with their carefully thought-out table layout (more on that later…). The seating plan, made up of vinyl records, was a genius touch and added to the character of the day. There are so many cool details that really stood out, but one of our favourites has to be the gin bath bar, with a fully functioning tap dispensing gin – every wedding needs one!

We also love how Izzy and Charlie decided against a traditional wedding cake, instead choosing a wedding cake piñata. It’s such a clever way to get the party started and something we’d never seen before.
Another thoughtful touch was adding a chill-out tent to the tipi set-up. Our couple filled the space with sofas, bean bags and cosy blankets, as well as a marshmallow toasting station at the centre.

Tips on planning a tipi wedding from a real bride
Our bride Izzy absolutely loved the planning side of things, and we were so impressed by the huge DIY planning document she created herself. It started as a simple Canva template, but Izzy adapted it as she went along throughout the planning process. It covered EVERYTHING, including on-the-day contacts, the schedule, a checklist for the bride and groom, décor checklist (including photos of where everything was to be placed), floor plans, guest allergies and literally everything else you could possibly think of. Who better to get advice from than a bride who has been through it all already? Over to you, Izzy…

Why did you choose Hadsham Farm as your wedding venue?
Izzy: “Hadsham Farm was actually the last venue we looked at, and we never expected to be so blown away by it. It was the perfect mix of a non-traditional venue with the most stunning setting right by the lake. We loved that we could choose all of our own suppliers and really create a wedding day that felt completely personal to us. I was also so excited to get creative with the décor, and having the venue for the whole weekend meant we had plenty of time to bring our vision to life exactly as we’d imagined.”

What’s your advice for couples planning their own tipi wedding?
Izzy: “Over-organise! I thought I was going a little overboard with my labelled boxes, folder full of AI images showing how I wanted everything set up, and lists of supplier contact details. But honestly, it took so much pressure off on the day. I could hand everything over to our family and friends, and it felt like they had my brain in a folder! It meant I didn’t have to worry about answering questions or remembering every little detail.

“I’d also say to choose suppliers who really feel like you. We picked caterers who served our favourite kind of food, a celebrant who created the most amazing, personal ceremony, and a photographer, videographer and florist who completely understood our style. As a result, the whole day felt so personal – it wasn’t a cookie-cutter wedding, it was ours in every single detail.”

What was your favourite part of your wedding day at Hadsham Farm?
Izzy: “I honestly can’t pick just one moment! It was incredible from start to finish, and we loved every second – from the ceremony right through to the dance floor. We’d been together for 13 years before we finally got married, and we were the first of all our friends to tie the knot. Seeing everyone we love together in one place, sharing in that moment after such a long journey, was incredibly emotional. The eruption of joy, excitement and celebration from everyone was honestly unforgettable, and something we’ll treasure forever. It truly was the perfect day.”
